Toddlers in Moorebank (2–3 years)

Toddlers are busy people. They want to do it themselves, say it themselves and feel it all at once. Our toddler room is built around exactly that — a space where two and three year olds can practise independence with warm educators close by.

Doing it themselves

Self-help skills are woven through the whole day: serving their own food, carrying their own plate, washing hands, pulling on hats and shoes. When your child shows signs of toileting readiness, we work in partnership with you so the approach at the centre matches the approach at home.

The language explosion

Between two and three, vocabulary grows faster than at any other time. Educators narrate play, ask real questions, read constantly and add new words to the ones your child already has — so talking becomes something toddlers love to do.

Big feelings, small people

Frustration, delight, fury, joy — sometimes all before morning tea. Educators name feelings, model calm and coach early friendships, so children slowly build the words and strategies to manage emotions themselves.

Outside every day

The mud kitchen, sandpit, balance logs and garden beds are where much of the real learning happens. Toddlers dig, pour, balance, plant and water — building strength and coordination while they think they are just playing.

Play with a purpose

Everything in the room is intentional. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, educators plan experiences around each child’s interests and document their learning in the parent app, so you can see the thinking behind the play.

Rest that suits your child

After lunch the room slows down. Children who sleep, sleep; children who no longer nap rest quietly with books and soft music. Routines flex to what each child needs.
