Wattle Grove is full of young families, and it shows in our sign in book. Early Foundations Academy is just up the road in Moorebank at 53 Clyde Avenue, an easy drive from anywhere in the estate. We care for children from birth to five, Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm.
Getting ready for big school
The question we hear most from Wattle Grove parents is about school readiness, and it’s the part of our program we’re proudest of. In the year before school, children in our School Readiness Program practise the things that actually matter in kindergarten. Sitting for group time. Opening their own lunchbox. Managing their bag and hat. Asking for help. Holding a pencil properly. Early sounds and counting come into it too, always through play rather than worksheets.
By the time our kids walk into kindergarten at Wattle Grove Public or another local school, the classroom routine isn’t a shock. It’s familiar.
Learning that happens outside
Children at this age learn with their whole bodies, so our outdoor spaces work hard. There’s a climbing frame and balance logs for the daredevils, a sandpit and mud kitchen for the cooks and builders, and garden beds the children plant and water themselves. What they grow sometimes ends up in the kitchen, where our meals are cooked fresh every day.
The basics
We’re a purpose built, 60 place centre following the Early Years Learning Framework, rated Meeting NQS in all seven quality areas of the National Quality Standard. Babies have their own nursery with a separate outdoor area. Parents get photos and updates through our app during the day.
